Emeraude Toubia

 Emeraude Toubia (born March 1st, 1989) is a Canadian-born American actress and model, who portrayed Isabelle Lightwood on the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. Toubia was born in Montreal. As an only child she was raised in Brownsville (Texas). Mirta Sonia (nee Solis), her mother, was born in Ciudad Victoria and raised by her father who was a Lebanese-American. Her paternal grandparents were of the Koura District, Lebanon.In 1999, at the age of 10 years old, Toubia made her first television appearance on Televisa's children's programme El Mundo de los Ninos. In 2008, Toubia became well-known when she was selected to be part of the second season Univision's beauty pageant show Nuestra Belleza Latina. Here contestants were instructed in acting as well as dancing and presenting. Toubia was the first runner up. She has appeared in ads for brands like Garnier, J. C. Penney and Sony since then.
